I don’t know the first thing about having a website…How do I get started?
Web Works is a full service web designer and you’ll have a dedicated Web coordinator who will handle everything from start to finish. You may not have anything to get us started. That’s OK, we’ve done websites for other businesses in your industry and understand the market. We’ll handle everything including registering your domain, creating your company logo, writing copy and much more.
How will I attract customers through the web?
Every Web Works web site goes through a comprehensive search engine optimization program, this involves targeting key words for your businesses geographic area. To learn more see our Search Engine Optimization page.
What is Search Engine Optimization?
Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of generating high-quality traffic to a web site from search engines based on keywords and key geographic areas. I only want to market to customers in my area. How do I make sure I’m not attracting customers from half way across the country?
Our search engine optimization program geographically targets your clients. Your Web Works Coordinator will incorporate names of nearby towns, cities and counties into site content, meta-data and in-bound links in order to hit your target market. What if I don’t have a lot of time to put together information for my site?
Send us what you have, whether it’s pictures, word document, brochures or nothing at all! We’re used to creating complete websites with very little input from clients.
What if I don’t have pictures?
If you don’t have pictures or the pictures aren’t the best quality we can use high-quality stock pictures. With 10,000’s of pictures to choose from we can always find great images for your site. Keep in mind, we can replace pictures at any time. So you might not have great pictures right now but you will in a few month….send them along and we will update your site at any time!
What if I don’t want my website to attract new customers?
No problem, Web Works has many customers that prefer to forgo optimization because they are only directing existing clients and don’t wish to market to new clients.
What’s a domain name?
This is the name that identifies your web site. For example, ‘www.webworkscorp.com’ is the domain name for the Web Works Web site.
What’s hosting?
A basic definition of hosting is the server space that holds your web site as well as the connection of your site to the Internet. Every web site needs to be hosted in order to be viewable.
What if I want to make updates or changes to my website?
One of the key benefits to working with Web Works is we provide site maintenance at no additional charge. So if you would like to update pictures, change copy, list new or additional services it’s no problem.
Where is Web Works Located?
Web Works is located in Batavia IL, about 50 miles west of Chicago. Our entire staff is located in Batavia and we work with clients throughout the United States.
Is Web Works an Accredited Member of the Better Business Bureau?
Yes we are. We also have an unblemished record!
